We are seeking students primarily who are Carib and Garifuna, and students who are not Carib or Garifuna but:

* Who are looking to brush up on their Garifuna.

*  Who want to share and teach their  own Native Language.

Our
Students
Our Teachers

Our Teachers are Caribs or Garifuna Language Professionals and Teachers who speak Garifuna fluently, and who are passionate about preserving the Garifuna Language. Our Teachers reside in different locations and are natives of Guatemala, Honduras and Belize.

Our Mission is to seek out and locate Caribs or Garifuna people all over the world or the globe. Everyone, or anyone who identify as a Carib or a Garifuna and you are passionate about your Carib or Garifuna history, heritage, spirituality, culture and language, we want to know you and we want you to know about us, and we want you to spread the word that there is a website seeking out Caribs and Garifuna people to come together in our dire effort to preserve Carib or Garifuna, particularly our Garifuna Language.

Our Classrooms are open every Saturday evening at 7:00 pm for Beginners; 8:00 pm for Intermediates and 9:00 pm for advanced students. Classrooms are available for private or one - on - one lessons.

"My name is Adam and I live in St. Lucia. I am a Carib but I was never taught the language. I just started taking classes here and I already know how to say basic Garifuna commands and I learned the Garifuna greeting or the "BuSu"

"I just wanted to connect so that I can meet and get to know other Caribs and Garifuna people. I've met and connected  with quite a lot of Caribs. I want to be a change agent and spread the word about Garifuna and the Garifuna Language so that we don't lose our culture and language.”

Michel Ross

I am a new student looking to learn some Garifuna so that I can surprise my mom and say something to her in Garifuna. I hope I don't scare her too much. I also want to know basic words for when  I travel to the places where Garifuna people live, I can show off that I know some Garifuna.
